Headaches are one of the most common medical complaints as it affects people of all age groups. Migraines are a form of headache that attacks one half of the brain and is more disturbing than usual. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that almost half of all adults worldwide will experience a headache in any given year.

Causes

Migraine or cluster headache are usually hereditary. However the sudden attacks has several causes such as

  • Emotional stress
  • Imbalanced Lifestyle
  • Work load or insufficient sleep
  • several other causes include Tensions, stress that cause chemical imbalance

Symptoms

The premier symptom is an acute pain in head; other symptoms may include

  • Sensation of tightness or pressure across your forehead or on the sides and back of your head
  • Severe attacks may lead to tenderness on your scalp, neck and shoulder muscles

Henna is an excellent home cure for migraine or cluster headache as the plant is dear to Allah S.T.  Dip the powder of henna in a little water or vinegar and firmly apply it over the affected side of the head for immediate relief from migraines and headache

Narrated by Ibn Majah that whenever Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. suffered from a headache, he used to cover his head with Henna (Khazaab) and said, “Henna helps to relieve headache by the permission of Allah”.
